Simply Lovely

I SIMPLY had to show you this LOVELY jewellery. (excuse the pun) 'Simply Lovely Jewellery' is all hand made by my amazingly talented Aunty. Bracelets, necklaces and earrings, wine charms, bookmarks and keyrings that are all so beautifully pretty it almost defies belief.

The items fuse classic materials (sterling silver, Murano glass beads and Swavovski crystals) with modern and stylish designs. My favourite is this bracelet, I wear it all the time. The hearts used are Murano glass and she will custom make you one in any and every colour of the rainbow. Lesley (the designer) will in fact custom make anything for you, provided you can give her a description and she can get hold of the materials, it will be in your hands within days!

Best of all? The price. Bracelets from £6.50, earrings only £4!! and sweet little angel keyrings made with Swarovski crystals just £6. Lesley will deliver to anywhere in the world, and has a HUGE range of stock - there really is something for everyone. With the festive season fast approaching 'Simply Lovely Jewellery' would make a fantastic gift for a loved one. There are even Christmas bracelets with sterling silver snowflake charms and Swarovski crystal snowman key rings.

For more information, contact me, or Lesley at lesley.curtis4@btinternet.com , she will respond to you immediately and is willing to cater to your every need; what more could you ask for?

Should I?

I am (and have been for months) obsessed with Alice Dellal's hair. I LOVE it, impractical? very. would be very unflattering on me? most definitely. unappropriate for current job? undoubtedly. and yet I can't stop looking at pictures like the one below and thinking could I? Should I???

I want.....

I would more than likely kill for a pair of pins like these, as long as the amazing vintage levi's come free. I have some levi's like these en route to me. How depressing that I won't look anywhere near this good in them. ho hum, monday blues for ya.

Wedding Blues

I have no less than 3 best friends and 1 cousin set to get married before May 2010. I love a good wedding as much as the next person, the pastel twinset-clad elderly relatives, the dabbing of eyes as vows are exchanged, the champagne and the dancing into the early house, it's all fabulous. But never before have I been so stressed about finding an outfit. I have actually only attended one wedding before when I wasn't trussed up in a bridesmaid dress, so I am fairly unpractised in wedding outfitage. I think the fact that my daily uniform consists of ankle boots, oversized plaid shirts, teeny shorts and an inordinate amount of studs may be a reason why I'm finding it so hard to choose an outfit.

I am not a girly girl, everytime I wear a pretty dress I am compelled to pair it with clumpy boots and lots of heavy jewellry. I am also a very particular dresser, if I do not feel 'me' in an outfit, I can't leave the house. I haven't felt 'me' in any of the outfits I've tried for said wedding.

I did purchase a beautiful sequinned boyfriend blazer from Warehouse,

that I had considered pairing with a ballerina type skirt

a simple vest and some Melanie appropriate heavy black ankle boots.....but I'm unsure. I like this outfit, without loving it, and I want an outit I LOVE.

I have tried to find a tailored short suit - to no avail. Chloe's outfit here would be my ideal wedding outfit, I adore this look, the nude colour, the soft scalloping and delicate silk are all wedding appropriate, yet the slightly risque length of the shorts would keep it me. But alas, I am not in Sevignys position to be able to afford such designer outfits, and the high street scavenge for similar has proved fruitless. BOOOO

At present I am leaning towards two options a grey All Saints dress, or simply going in my PJ's. I love the All Saints dress, but I've worn it lots before, and me being me, I feel like I NEED something new.

So in short, fellow bloggers and readers of fashionfairysdaydreams, I am begging for help and advice. I only have 2 weeks!!

So, as a bit of a welcome back to fashion fairy's world I am having a special blog sale. Selling off quite a lot of my *brand new and unworn* American Apparel things.... here is what's on offer

Both 'one size fits all', extra long straps are used to adust the dress to fit anybody perfectly. Neither have ever been worn

two tone fitted spandex mini-dress

a two tone fitted spandex mini-dress in black and white colour way. Worn once, perfect condition. Size M, is a stretchy bodycon fit so suitable for 8-12 UK sizes. Has a scoop neck and a deeper scoop back. very flattering. love this dress, only selling because it is too big.

Figure Skater Dress

amazing authentic skater style dress in shiny peach. Will look great in summer with ankle boots (what i had planned to wear with it) size Small, tags still on, again immaculate condition, never been worn, only selling because bought online and is too short for me! :-(

Shiny high waisted skirt

ANOTHER unworn piece, with tags. Item description is high waisted skirt, but like with most AA pieces it is very versatile and can be worn as a bandeau dress, it looks great as either.

I'm open to offers on these items, either individual or grouped purchases. Please email me at melaniesimblet@googlemail.com if you would like more info. Any items without interest will be listed on ebay, at an increased price so be quick on here and grab a bargain with the pre-sale!

Also a note to any local blog readers, I have a stall at Tynemouth Market this coming Saturday, selling vintage jewellry, handbags, clothes and shoes. Some fab bargains to be had, including Celia Birtwell, TS design, H&M trend pieces, earl jeans, vintage precious jewellry, paul and joe sister, All Saints, and even some Vivienne Westwood. It really is well worth a visit, I am very negotiable on prices! Spread the word! xx

Thoughts on a comment card please...

So, the lack of posts continue. Main reason for this is I have some people reading this that I don't want reading it. It makes me feel compromised in terms of creativity. I can't write about whatever takes my fancy. and that was exactly what I loved so much about this blog. I can't decide whether to change blog names, though I'm hesitant about doing this because it would mean losing all of the work that has gone into this blog so far (which is, despite what you may think a lot)

Any advice on this subject would be much appreciated. Please email me!

xx
